From the written family history

Peter’s memoir explains that George Karl was named for his two grandfathers. He was the third child, following Milly and Annie, and moved with the household from Wisconsin to Colorado.

The later biography records that his remains were moved from Cripple Creek to Crown Hill Cemetery in Colorado in 1920. Peter’s ashes were placed near him in 1942. His younger brother Carl George, born in 1906, was a different child; the similar names can make the family records confusing.
