Reinhold Hilpert holding his grandson David Cary Hilpert, November 1949, when David was nine months old. Family recollections identify LH059 and LH060 as the same photograph with different inscriptions. The pair’s notes mention Centralia, Washington, and “Please give this to Grandfather Hilpert.” Which inscription belongs to which scan is unresolved.
