## Letter 6 — headed May 30, 1850; internal June references Two historical translation pages compared. Their filenames are reversed in reading order: Translation 2 begins the letter; Translation 1 continues it. **Corrections supported by the manuscript:** August calls himself a freethinker, not a stranger. A comparison concerns a rougher way of life, not necessarily a higher cost of living. The contact surname is better read [Gaa?] than Haar, but the exact address and house number remain unsettled. **Retain:** The date discrepancy survives both translations. The manuscript's eight days before Whitsun should not be replaced automatically with the historical six days. The religious label is not secure enough to infer Calvinist affiliation from the older version; the manuscript may refer to Lutherans. Friedrich's lease of August's field and the brother's return to Königslutter remain useful findings. The July 7 meeting is proposed, not confirmed. The poem broadly agrees in sense across the translations. Reviewed September 24, 2026. See the consolidated historical translation comparison and revised connected narrative in Research.
